Caidyn Thompson, J.D./D.C.L.

Of Counsel

Caidyn is a native of Arcadia California, with a strong commitment to the law and a passion for justice. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Louisiana State University in 2022, followed by her Juris Doctorate from the LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center in 2024, completing the esteemed 3+3 Program.

Throughout law school, Caidyn gained invaluable experience as a law clerk at a criminal defense firm in Baton Rouge. Her legal acumen was demonstrated early on when she successfully achieved the dismissal of her client’s case during her work in the juvenile defense clinic. In addition to her practical experience, she excelled academically, earning two CALI Excellence Awards for receiving the highest grades in Civil Law and Comparative Law classes.

Caidyn also showcased her trial skills by participating in and winning several trial advocacy competitions. She was elected Director of External Trial Advocacy for the school’s prestigious Board of Advocates, a role in which she played a key part in coordinating competitions and fostering talent. Upon graduation, Caidyn was nominated for and inducted into the distinguished Order of the Barristers, a national honor awarded to the top advocates in law school.

Currently, Caidyn serves as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Mary L. Doggett at the 9th Judicial District Court in Alexandria, Louisiana. In this role, she contributes to the judicial process while further developing her legal expertise, making her a valuable addition to the HJT Law Group team as an Of Counsel Attorney.
